A Kent champion in our Gun room!

Karen Husk is Assistant Manager in the Shooting department at our Ashford branch.  She started shooting in 2003, shooting mainly  clays, but with the odd pigeon and rough shooting day when the opportunity arose. She joined Kent Wool Growers in October 2005, when she began to take clay shooting a bit more seriously. As her interest grew and her scores improved, she started to take part in clay shooting competitions. 

In 2007 Kent Wool Growers  began sponsoring Karen, by supplying the cartridges for competitions. During this year she justified their support by winning, not just one, but five Kent Titles!  She continued to impress during 2008, taking three more titles - Down the Line, ABT and Double Rise to name but a few. Currently in 2009 she has added DTL, ABT and UT Kent Championship titles.  Recently she also become the South East Area All rounder Ladies champion.  To prove that she is truely an allrounder she took part in and won two side by side competitions including the European Churchill Side by Side title using an AYA loaned from the Ashford Gun department.  This was a far cry from the gun that she normally uses which is a Beretta DT10, 30" multi choke over and under.
